History of Skyhawk Villa

Built by Hollywood actress Maureen O’Hara and aviator Charles Blair as their home base as they founded Antilles Air Boats in 1963. Over the years Skyhawk villa hosted countless celebrities including Ginger Rogers, Jason Robards, Victor Borge, Lauren Bacall, Lucile Ball, Maureens close friend and co-star John Wayne.  

This is a logo for Antilles Air Boats, featuring a silhouette of an eagle on a red circle with "Virgin Islands" text.

Antilles air boat “Skyhawk” logo which Maureen and Charles had poured in terrazzo on the patio of Skyhawk Villa, but with one alteration, a clover in its mouth representing Maureen’s native home Ireland.

Maureen and John Wayne starred in many films together but in real life were best friends.
